"I was working as an Intuitive Medium connecting the 'Other side' with their loved ones when I realized that I could help people heal their grief, but not their wounds. I set out to find the tools I could add into my medicine bag that really worked. That is when I was introduced to a very well-known Shaman and embarked upon the teachings of Inka Medicine ways.

I was introduced to the contemporary reinterpretation of ancient healing practices that are still used today in North and South America. Illuminations and Extractions (60-120 minutes; $150)

Our physical body is surrounded by a Luminous Energy Field; some people call it the Aura or Spirit Body which is an invisible matrix that holds the imprint of all our karmic, personal and ancestral memories, traumas, wounds and beliefs. These imprints can become activated to mirror a personal history that repeats itself by compelling us towards behaviors, relationships, accidents or illnesses that replicate the original trauma. They may also manifest as addictions, headaches, anxiety, depression, anger, shame, blame, sadness, etc. An Illumination is the energetic clearing of the negative imprints in our Luminous Energy Field.

An Illumination is helpful when:

The illumination includes chakra balancing as well as clearing negative patterns and imprints - transforming your wounds into sources of power and compassion. Imprints to the Luminous Energy Field appear as sluggish energy around the chakras. During the healing, the heavy emotional energy of the imprint is drained through the chakra; then the imprint itself is erased through the use of focused intention and breath. When the imprint is erased you are no longer informed by the wounds of your past or ancestry.

During the session one of the things I can do for you is (with your permission) I will track any negative energy that is affecting you and remove it. We will work on combusting the dense energies which are preventing you from moving past your obstacles, and then we flood the chakras with The Light of the Sacred. Extraction of Crystallized and Fluid Energies

Sometime events or traumas in our lives can crystallize within our luminous energy field. This can happen from abuse of any type, or physical injury. Crystallized energy is removed, discarded and The Light of the Sacred is used to heal the affected area. In some cases a spirit or entity can attaches itself to the body. The entity or spirit is removed so the client can receive healing.

While the Illumination Process combusts most energies in the Luminous Energy Field, some toxic energies can crystallize which are impossible to metabolize through the Illumination Process. These crystallize energies embed themselves in the physical body. Often this type of energy is caused by anger, envy, betrayal, obsessive thoughts, or hatred. These may be a result of our own thoughts or are a result of others feelings directed towards us. Sometimes they are energetic remnants - memories of how we died, how we were hurt, or how we were killed in a former existence. These energies can weaken and debilitate us physically; often these energies show up in our body as chronic pain.

Intrusive energies are fluid and often manifest in the form of pain that "moves" around the body, feeding on the energy of the chakras and central nervous system. Many psychological and physical problems are caused or exacerbated by intrusive entities. They can produce anxiety, depression, addictions, mood swings, and a host of other symptoms. This energy can be discarnate spirits trapped between this world and the next; a loved one coming to us for assistance; or one of our own former lifetimes awakened from our unconscious. A "Crystal Extraction" is necessary to remove these types of energies from the LEF. When these energies are extracted, healing can move forward more rapidly.

Soul Retrievals (120 minutes; $150)

Discover the source of an original wounding and rewrite outdated soul contracts to revive your essential grace and reawaken your true potential.

Soul Retrieval is the process of wholeness and retrieving the lost parts of our self. It is founded on ancient practices for recovering the Essential Self - those integral aspects of the Self lost due to pain, trauma, or as a form of protection. When part of our soul is missing we can experience emptiness, depression, addictions, weight issues, lack of direction, etc. Through the Soul Retrieval process we go back to the source of the original wounding to recover the innocent part of ourselves that left us; recovering the soul piece, integrating it into our psyche, rewriting the contract and creating a new map that enables us to step back into our destiny.

Stephanie journeys on your behalf to the four chambers of the soul to investigate the source of the wounding that resulted in soul lost. If the time is right she will bring the lost soul part back and perhaps a medicine gift or power animal which will be gently integrated into your chakra system.

Drum Journeys & Guided Meditations:

This is an active meditation in which the participant arrives at a ‘peaceful way of being’ through guided imagery traveling the road to non-ordinary reality. Journeying is not an ‘out of body’ experience yet may seem extraordinary and without boundaries of time and space. Everyone’s experience is unique and personally meaningful to them. Guided mediations are initiated through the use of drums, rattles and crystal bowls.

The cadence of the drumming or rattling takes one to a place of silence, into the Alpha brain wave state. This is a dreamy, day-dream like state of being. The cadence of the drumming/rattling opens our spiritual heart and the mind is fixated and silent. We are able to perceive the expressions and desires of our spirit through images, symbols, tones, colors, sensations and knowingness through journeying and guided meditation.

The Shamanic Journey and Guided Meditation are effective for finding answers and setting an intention, visualizing and manifesting your heart desire.

Discover Your Power Animal:

Find out who your power animal is and its role in your life. It is believed that we all have power animals who act as guardian spirits, assisting in our journey of self discovery. Animal Spirit Guides represent our strengths and special qualities. They provide protection, assistance, wisdom, direction and companionship. In a shamanic worldview, the individual’s personal power and physical vitality is a gift from these helpers, hence the term "power animals". Knowing your power animal connects one to their personal power. In developing a relationship with our power animal we will be assisted and feel supported in new ways on our medicine path. With the beat of the drum and Stephanie’s guided imagery, you will feel receptive to discovery of your Animal Spirit Guide.

Dying Consciously, Leaving this world

Dying Consciously - This is a free service provided to helping people die consciously. This means that we seek to maintain consciousness intact through the journey of death and beyond. Bringing dignity and peace for all persons involved in the dying process: the individual, family members, and friends. Through the process, the loved one is encouraged to tell their life story in a new way - one that weaves together the major themes of their life journey. This "life review" can be both healing and liberating for all participants. Stephanie and the family become sacred witnesses and support the loved one in forgiving them self and others. Stephanie takes an active but gentle role encouraging the family to give permission for their loved one to die - releasing them with love and forgiveness.

The Final Rites are perhaps the most important part of this process, and ideally begins before a loved one passes. Stephanie cleanses the luminous energy field of the dying person so that a lifetime of dense material in all of the chakras can be combusted. After death, the chakras are disengaged and the luminous field is set free. Stephanie is always respectful of all family members and their wishes; and has a loving compassionate heart with a desire to making the dying process a smooth transition.

Fire Ceremony

The Fire Ceremony is conducted as a means to offer healing to the individual, and the community as a whole. Know that every time we heal our self we help heal the world. Fire ceremony is an incredible tool to help you change and shift, allowing for rapid transformation. Fire provides the avenue to let go of the old story and drama, to transform, to renew and to be reborn. Through fire ceremony, you honor your lessons and old belief structures by placing them in the fire and turning them over to Spirit. By releasing these old patterns and beliefs into the fire, you heal deeply at the level of the soul without having to experience them at the literal and physical levels.

Before coming to the fire ceremony an offering is created out of burnable materials, typically a small stick is used. This is called a light arrow or a spirit stick and it represents an issue or something that needs to be honored in order for you to let go of it. The offering serves to focus one’s attention in active meditation. When you come to the fire ceremony and approach the fire you are connecting with what you are honoring, the gifts you have received, or what you are envisioning into being. Using your breath you will hold your intention in your heart and your mind and then blow your intention or prayer into the offering several times. The light arrow/stick is then placed into the fire.

"Fire ceremony is a beautiful ceremonial tradition which has been honored for centuries. It is performed outdoors which I love because it provides an opportunity to connect deeply with the earth, and the star energies. When we show up and actively engage the mysteries we are informing them as much as they inform us. It is a beautiful exchange of energy and a doorway for transformation. Fire ceremony is typically held around the full moon or new moon of each month when the veils between the worlds are the thinnest."

Despacho Ceremony

The despacho is a gift--a giving back of what we receive everyday in our lives to establish new patterns of relationship and possibility. It establishes a link between the physical universe, our personal power, our source of love and wisdom. The despacho, transcends literal and symbolic domains and directly accesses the archetypal and energetic realms.

The despacho is created much like a Mandala and layered with a variety of items all having symbolic significance. We call upon the spirits of the waters, of the mountains, and of the Pachamama (Mother Earth) to come and help us prepare the offering. We have the intent of seeking to establish and maintain a continuous dialogue with the Mother and to bring balance and harmony to our lives, and to all our relations. Each symbolic item offered is arranged on white paper and is imbued with prayer. The power of this act of love sparks the momentum for energy shifts and healing and is a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits, and the cosmos. Upon the completion of the despacho, the gift is bundled up, tied and then placed into a fire. The creation and the construction of the despacho and ceremony takes about an hour to perform. The Despacho ceremony brings participants into alignment with their personal intent, or the group intent, with gratitude to the earth, which supports us in all our endeavors.

There are actually hundreds of different despachos and the most known are:

Ayni despacho is a way of establishing reciprocity and divine exchange, right relationship, balance and harmony with the Universe. If you give you will receive and if you receive you must give back. It is an honoring of the cycle of abundance and gratitude. The Anyi despacho is for specific purposes such as creating harmony, good will, love, marriage, etc. This is an excellent way to promote abundance in a business endeavor or increase co-operation on projects. The beginning of a year is an excellent time to do an ayni despacho.

Aya despacho or the death despacho is performed to break connections or to gracefully transition from one situation to another. It is used after divorce, ending of a relationship, ending of a job or career, loss of a loved one, etc. The ending of the year is an excellent time to do an aya despacho.

Having studied with indigenous shamanic teachers and medicine people Stephanie honors the teaching and wisdom she has received while at the same time making the practice of despacho accessible in a contemporary setting. It is through our intent and focus that we create shifts in the energy of the universe. With this in mind, we create contemporary-traditional despachos with honoring, gratitude and love reflecting our needs of today.

A Word about Shamanic Healing

Shamanic healing is spiritual in nature. Its techniques are not therapy as generally defined by modern psychology or medicine, and they are not a substitute for the therapeutic methods practiced by these fields. However they serve as powerful complements to those methods.

Shamanism is a powerful, sometimes subtle, healing system that connects one with the healing forces and wisdom of the universe.

Shamanism is a spiritual system. It is not a religion. It is based on the concept that we are all one with everything, we are all spirit, and have the ability and right to connect with the worlds of spirit.

In the shamanic world-view, everything is alive and conscious. Shamanism uses various techniques to contact and communicate with the world of spirit.

Since time immemorial, certain men and women have felt called to heal the sick, to safeguard knowledge, to guide the lost, and to commune with the spirit world. These unique individuals, known as shamans, were mystics and seers, repositories of wisdom, and keepers of herbal lore. During those periods when ignorance loomed large in the world, shamans across the globe bided their time, peacefully practicing their practical yet refined arts in the jungle, mountains, deserts, and tundra that protected them from those who misunderstood shamanism. Today, however, shamanism has reemerged, as modern men and women feel the same call to service that their ancestors felt long ago. Also, as more individuals explore the notion that healing necessarily involves the soul as well as the physical self, people are consulting shamans in their search for wellness, wisdom, and guidance.

The word shaman literally means "he or she who knows." Shamanism is an art that has not changed in any quantifiable way for millennia and is not bound to any particular form of spirituality. It is grounded on the principle that the visible world is saturated with unseen forces that influence the lives of human beings. Shamans, in addition to acting as fonts of wisdom, are dedicated to diagnosing and curing human suffering - whether emotional, physical, or spiritual. To treat an illness, a shaman may communicate with the spirit world in order to connect more directly with the soul of their patient or with the force causing ill health. They often work closely with animal guides, plant and earth spirits, or your spirit guides, and may make use of use of herbal remedies to supplement other forms of treatment. Shamans, as intermediaries between the physical and spiritual realms, recognize that all objects are in manner alive and retain information that can be utilized to heal.

Shamanism is powerful in part because its practitioners tailor healing to the individual needs of those who seek them out. A shaman manipulates energy; giving you power where you have lost it and removing misplaced energy lurking within you. When you seek out a shaman, they will endeavor to know and understand you before treating you. In this way, they can provide you with therapies that act on your whole being, positively influencing your body as well as your soul.
